Do I have to remove the wheel to get to the sensor? Could you send me the video to show how it is done? Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 AT 12:42 PM (Merged) No need to do that. I have a 98 pathfinder chilkoot that was running very rough and then stalled out. The code was p0335 crankshaft position sensor. That made sense. All the
parts stores had the part for a 3.3l v6 98 pathfinder. The trouble is the mechanic couldn't find it on the truck. I phoned Nissan and after some confusion the mechanic said mine didn't have a crank position sensor on the engine, it was in the distributor. I've checked my vin online and now I'm not even sure if it is a 3.3l The vin comes up with a Nissan VG30d which I don't know what that is. A 3.0l maybe. The vin is SPONSORED LINKS Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 AT 12:42 PM (Merged) My reference materials shows that make and model having a VG33E 3.3L engine. Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 AT 12:42 PM (Merged) The reference also shows the crank sensor at the back of the block facing the flywheel. Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 AT 12:42 PM (Merged) No. Made in kyusho japan Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 AT 12:42 PM (Merged) That makes it a little difficult. All my references show the 98 Pathfinder as having a VG33E 3.3l engine, which has the crank sensor on the rear of the block. I'm seeing a VG30E on the Sentra, but it also has a CPS on the rear of the block.
