Dealing with Rust Bucket Skid Plates

For those of us with older Jeep Grand Cherokees from the midwest, the fuel tank skid plate will eventually sir-come to rust. Dorman's replacement was a perfect match. Prices at AutoZone and O'Reilly's were $150 more. I would not recommend installing it yourself after watching the mechanics at the dealership spend an hour and a half wrestling with the tank and falling rust.
