It's the behemoth of Apple iPhones, but it still needs a case.

My Experience
My title is Senior Features Writer, which is a license to write about absolutely anything if I can connect it to technology (I can). I’ve been at PCMag since 2011 and have covered the surveillance state, vaccination cards, ghost guns, voting, ISIS, art, fashion, film, design, gender bias, and more. You might have seen me on TV talking about these topics or heard me on your commute home on the radio or a podcast. Or maybe you’ve just seen my Bernie meme.

You bought the iPhone 13 Pro Max because you like a bigger phone. But big phones take big falls. You're going to need a case that can protect the phone, particularly since it can cost up to $1,599 and has some
serious camera lenses. This list has lots of options depending on your needs. There's one case that keeps the camera covered when not in use, a couple of options that strap your phone right to you, and one that has a handle built right in. Of course you could be the type who barely wants a case at all, and in that case we also have you covered.
The Bandolier Hailey Crossbody(Opens in a new window) is the easiest way to carry your iPhone 13 Pro Max, and it lets you tuck in a few cards and cash, too.
The Casetify PP-0008 Case(Opens in a new window) looks like it can arrive without any packaging. The label look on Casetify's most protective case is from Pangram Pangram, a font foundry, and it features impact-absorbent corner protection.
The Totallee Super Thin Case(Opens in a new window) is not the case to turn to if you want the ultimate (or even average) in protection, but it is ultralight, ultrathin, and does keep your phone free of scratches and has a slightly raised lip around the camera.

I strive to explain topics that you might come across in the news but not fully understand, such as NFTs and meme stocks. I’ve had the pleasure of talking tech with Jeff Goldblum, Ang Lee, and other celebrities who have brought a different perspective to it. I put great care into writing gift guides and am always touched by the notes I get from people who’ve used them to choose presents that have been well-received. Though I love that I get to write about the tech industry every day, it’s touched by gender, racial, and socioeconomic inequality and I try to bring these topics to light.
Outside of PCMag, I write fiction, poetry, humor, and essays on culture.
