I have two AOS filed in EB3 categories.
1) Through my spouse in EB3 category. Through this We have received EAD/AP
But EAD was never used. I-485 is still pending since its Final action is not current Yet .
2) I have also applied AOS through my employer in EB3 category in Aug 2021 when my final action date(11/29/2011) was current. My fingerprinting was done in Sep 24 2021
As of Feb 06 Here is status
A) I-485 status is
"fingerprints relating have been applied to your case"
B) I-765 status is " On Jan 21 we closed your case for EAD, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other mean"
C) I-131status is " On Jan 21 we closed your case for EAD, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other mean"
I am so confused , what does it mean? Does it mean GC approved ? OR does it mean they closed my EAD case because i already have it
through my spouse in
the same category , however that EAD was never used.

A: You will need to review each petition separately. You may want to call USCIS or ask the employer counsel. It is probable that have already been granted a petition. However, you need to make sure first. Each petition must have an independent receipt number you can use to follow up.

I applied for i765 and i131 along with i485 in aug 2020. My biometrics appt was completed on 14th May 2021.
My current status for i485 is 'Case was updated to show finger prints have been taken' However, i765 and i131 status is 'Case closed benefit received by other means'
What does 'benefit received by other means' mean? Does it mean that my GC has been approved and I don't need a combo card? Any one else who went through this?

Hi did u receive GC yet?You mentioned that you have received card , was it combo EAD or GC? I have exact same situation 09/24/2021 -My I-485 status was updated fingerprints applied.
01/21/2022 - I-65 & I-131 was update case close benefit received by other means but I-485 status is still fingersprint applied
So I am not sure if it is mistake by USCIS and later they will rectify it. OR they will just issue EAD/AP OR should I expect GC soon PKEASE ADVISE.. thank you

That is odd because you mention the 485 status is still at biometrics. I'd try talk to USCIS on phone or via Emma to see what's going on. Hopefully they say that your GC was approved but I would like to hear it from them, else see why the 765 case closed

Hi , got my EAD card and it says case closed, but havent subbmitted medicals. I was told we were schedule for an interview but no date was given since last year, and was tolf when given the date i should come with my medical,....so is there any one have the same problem with me and what does this mean?

Well fwiw, i submitted my medical at the time of submitting my i485 application. My i765 case status was updated yesterday to EAD card shipped. And i485 is still finger prints applied. Not sure how much more time to get the actual GC

I haven't received my GC. But received my combo card last week.

Hi, I am in the same situation right now, can I ask have you contacted with attorney after closed your case by mistake? Or you just wait until USCIS corrected it after they found out it was a mistake? Thanks

They will rectify it.. it took another 45 days for them to identify it open the case again, issue the card and close the case properly
