Fill out your trip details in the reservation widget on this page. In the first field, you’ll be prompted to enter your pickup location. Beneath this, simply uncheck the box that says “return to same location.” A new box will appear for you to add your return location. Then, continue booking your rental car like normal.
 

Want to Drive One-Way Across the Border?

One-way rentals are permitted when driving between the U.S. and Canada; however, driver regulations may apply. For example, if a Canadian licensed driver plans to rent a vehicle in Canada and drop it off in the U.S., the law requires that he/she rent and drive a car with Canadian license plates. Only select locations allow driving your rental from the U.S. to Mexico, and additional insurance is required for these reservations. Vehicles rented in Mexico may not be driven into the U.S.

Which SIXT branches can I rent a car one-way?

One-way car rentals are definitely possible with SIXT and are usually allowed between all SIXT branches in the US. Certain restrictions and fees apply depending on where you plan on picking up and dropping off your vehicle, so use our booking tool to calculate the total price.

Can I drive my one-way vehicle anywhere in the US?

If you have a reservation for a one-way rental where the vehicle is returned in a state other than the state of pick-up, the usual territorial restrictions do not apply. The vehicle may only be used in the continental United States and can be driven through any state.

In Hawaii, one-way rentals and rides outside Hawaii are not permitted.

Is there a one-way fee?

A one-way fee sometimes applies when you pick up a vehicle at one location and return the vehicle at another. The one-way fee varies depending on the locations and time of the year. If you have to pay a fee, it will be disclosed at the time of reservation and so please use our booking tool to calculate the fotal price of your planned trip.
