Ingredients

    4 chicken breast halves
    1 12 oz can of low-fat cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup fat-free sour cream
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 packet of onion soup mix


Directions

Place thawed chicken into crock pot or slow cooker. In a medium bowl, mix all the other ingredients together. Pour mixture of chicken and cover. Cook at low setting 6-8 hours or higher setting for 4-6 hours.

Notes: This has got to be one of the easiest meals to put together and has become a family favorite. It's very creamy and goes well with wild rice or potatoes. The recipe doubles nicely for larger servings.

    this was wonderful!!! I added some no yolk egg noodles about 30 minutes before eating, the noodles soaked up the extra sauce I also added frozen peas...yummy!!!! - 1/30/08

    I love this recipe. You could also substitute cream of chicken instead of the mushroom soup. Also some times I put a bit of low fat sour cream just before serving especially if I am using noodles. Yummy! - 1/22/09

What you need: chicken breasts, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, dry onion soup mix, mushrooms, pepper and water.

To make: spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place chicken breasts in a single layer and season with pepper. In a bowl, add condensed soups, onion soup mix, mushrooms and water, mix well. Pour mixture evenly over chicken and cover. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours. Be sure to adjust cooking time according to how fast/slow your cooker cooks.

When ready, shred chicken using two forks. Serve chicken with the gravy over mashed potatoes, rice or egg noodles. Enjoy!
