I wish though the kettle remained cool after/while the water boiled as advertised, but it's better than how hot it could actually get. I also wish I had more temperature control, but I knew what this was equipped with! No hinge for the cap meaning you’d have to remove the cap, place it on a surface, getting the surface wet before closing it back up to boil your water. The GE seems to be at least on par with the other, and more sensible in its control features. It is called "Cool Touch Kettle" which may be misleading...it is quite hot to the touch when water is heated to boiling. While simple to operate, it may take several starts to get water heating.
