Gifted & Talented
Important Resources for Parents and Students
The Bethpage School District has an extensive program for the Gifted and Talented. In the elementary schools, students are chosen to enter the Argonauts Program based on a combination of assessment scores (state, NWEA, Lexile), the inView exam and teacher recommendation. The Argonauts Program is for fourth and fifth graders and is based on the Jason Project (//www.jason.org/). The program is run in all three schools by Mrs. Marcis (//www.bethpage.ws/cb/lmarcis/) who also works with all fourth and fifth grade classes and runs the 21st Century Scholar Program.
