Welcome to North Padre Island from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Corpus Christi Texas. The staff is friendly. I believe the hotel issues are above them. When you enter the hotel there is a distinct moldy smell. I assumed it was from wet towels or people coming in from the beach. The smell is throughout the entire hotel. The room was insanely filthy. Tubs are moldy, grouting is literally black. Mold on the nightstand. Sofa in room dirty. The rooms are clearly not throughly cleaned between visits. This isn’t “we missed cleaning once” it’s a they don’t clean at all. The fridge & microwave were also not cleaned out. The reviews about the mold on other sites are 100% accurate. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options.
