Can I just buy a new SIM card?Can I buy a new SIM card? The answer is yes. If your SIM card is not working or you simply want to change your cell number, you can buy a new SIM card.
Can I get a new SIM card with the same number?Yes. Replacing your SIM, you can keep your same number. Just request that when getting the replacement SIM and have them activate it with your number or send it to you unactivated and then call Customer Care to have it activated with the number on the phone that is lost.
How do I request a new SIM card?Following original documents can be shown as Proof or Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) : Aadhaar, Voter ID & Passport. For eKYC based Jio SIM activation process, Only your biometric finger impression and Aadhaar details is required.
How long does it take to get a new SIM with the same number?A SIM swap can take up to 24 hours to complete in busy periods, however it's usually much quicker.
