Course Tuition – $275.00: new price and course structure effective for all certifications after August 1, 2020 The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for
breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Topics include: water rescue skills, surveillance & recognition, first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies, CPR, AED & more! The Blended Learning version of the ARC LG Cert course combines the online learning and on-site sessions to build on the same knowledge and skills to train lifeguards to act with speed and confidence in emergency situation both in
and out of the water. The online format allows participants to complete the interactive lessons on their own time, allowing the Instructor led sessions to reinforce learning and emphasize on skill building. In order to signup for the Lifeguard Certification Course applicants must complete the Lifeguard Pre-Course Water Skills Requirement. The online portion must be completed PRIOR to the start of the in-class portion. The online
