  • Similar to my Garlic Sauce Chicken Thighs, sans bones and skin, this recipe starts with a wide, deep 12-inch skillet and well heated olive oil.
  • In the meantime, we will season our chicken thighs with a mix of garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Add chicken thighs, smooth side down, to the skillet and sear for about 5 minutes, or until you can easily flip it over.
  • Flip and cook for 6 more minutes; add butter and garlic to the pan and cook for a minute before adding chicken broth to scrape up all the delicious bits on the bottom of the pan. This will also create the sauce to go with the chicken thighs.

How long does it take to cook a bone

Boneless, skinless chicken thighs cook quickly, in 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size. Bone-in thighs, however, take a bit more time, between 25 and 30 minutes. Use a thermometer to measure the internal temperature of the thighs. They're finished cooking when the temperature reads 165°F.

How do I cook bone

Instructions.
Lay the chicken thigh skin down on your cutting board..
With a shape knife, gently cut along the bone on one side..
Repeat along the other side of the bone..
Slide the knife under the bone and cut along the back of the bone..
Remove the meat from the final the joint portion and remove the bone..

How do you know when chicken thighs are cooked?

You'll know the chicken thighs are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. For the most accurate temperature reading, insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part of the meat, taking care to avoid touching the bone for bone-in chicken thighs (this leads to an inaccurate reading).
