What Is the 2015 Mazda6?

The 2015 Mazda6 is a five-seat, mid-size sedan that competes with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Malibu. Trim levels include Sport, Touring and Grand Touring.

What's New on the 2015 Mazda6?

There are only minor changes for 2015, mainly including option packages.

How Does the 2015 Mazda6 Compare to Other Sedans?

Despite Mazda's reputation for sportiness, fuel economy is the Mazda6's ace in the hole at a time when the mid-size sedan class is as competitive as ever.

What Features in the 2015 Mazda6 Are Most Important?

The 2015 Mazda6 is powered by a 184-horsepower, 2.5-liter SkyActiv four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. An optional six-speed automatic transmission is rated up to 39 mpg on the highway. Significant standard features include door-mounted side mirrors, a rear-window defroster, variably intermittent wipers, turn-signal indicators on the mirrors, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, a 3.5-inch screen, alloy wheels and speed-sensing steering.

As is required in all new cars, the Mazda6 has antilock brakes, an electronic stability system and front airbags. Also standard is traction control, while brake assist, a self-braking front-collision system, a rear vehicle monitoring system, lane departure warning and occupant-sensing airbags are optional. Other significant options include an i-ELOOP regenerative braking system, automatic temperature control, Tom-Tom based navigation, front fog lights and fully automatic headlights.

Should I Buy the 2015 Mazda6?

The 2015 Mazda6 is for buyers who enjoy a precise manual shifter, roomy backseat, responsive automatic transmission and limited body roll. If, however, you don't care for a smaller touchscreen, modest steering feedback or not having an engine temperature gauge, the Mazda6 may not be for you.

321k miles and still going strong

I acquired my 2015 Mazda 6 used in late 2018. I have 321,000 on it now and it still runs and drives great. I have only ever had two service issues; drivers side lower control arm squeak ($400) and belt tensioner ($130). I do all my own repairs and maintenance. Still getting 34 mpg on the hwy. it’s not a race car, but has been extremely reliable and I will probably get another one (my 3rd in the new body style) when this one dies or starts “nickel and diming” me.

Owns this car

I love driving this car...one of the last manual transmissions in a mid-range, mid-size, 4-door sedan (and It's the same one as used in the Miata sportscar). It's body style (looks lean and muscular) is currently being copied by high end auto manufactuers.

I love having blue tooth, and sunroof. I really love the keyless start. I commute over a pass and the blue tooth will help with my commute to my college
