How to change delivery date in amazon after placing order

TL;DR: Amazon prime account member. Placed order for HP 61 black ink cartridge on Nov 4th with guaranteed delivery stated for Nov 6th on product page, checkout page, and order confirmation email. Check email today Nov 5th and see that the delivery date has been pushed to Nov 7th under order details on Amazon.com AND the email confirmation sent immediately after placing the order Nov 4th. I know i'm not imagining things as I always triple check delivery dates but it's evident that Amazon can change things after the fact. I assume it's because they use html in the email body and can update it to Amazons benefit?

Has this happened to anybody else? Seems like it's edging on bait and switch by promising a fast delivery time then taking a little extra time after the order is placed under the pretense of a $99 per year membership for guaranteed delivery dates. This has happened in the past along with orders that just flat out get delivered late and it seems to be an increasing trend.

After placing an order on Amazon, you can update your shipping address at anytime prior to the actual shipment of your order -- Amazon does not allow you to update your shipping address once your order has shipped. You can update your shipping address directly from your Amazon account home page. Once your order ships, the system will not allow you to update your shipping address.

Enter your Amazon email address and password and click the "Sign In" button.
Select the "View Open Orders" option under the "Order History" subsection.
Select the order for which you want to change the shipping address.
Click the "Edit" button located under the "Shipping Address" subsection.
Enter the corrected shipping information and click the "Save" button to update your shipping information.

Tip

Order details, such as shipping address and payment method, can't be changed on Amazon.com after an order is placed with a merchant or marketplace seller -- you'll have to contact the seller directly to request that the order be cancelled. Go to your account (amazon.com/your-account), check the order summary and click the "Problem with this order?" button to find contact information for the seller.

Try contacting the courier and give them the tracking number, you may be able to change the delivery date from there.
