How to receive money through zelle regions bank

Money in minutes. Money sent with Zelle® is designed to deliver payments, typically within minutes. All it takes is for your debit card to be activated—which you can do online or via our mobile app. Once your card is activated, select Send Money, then Send Money with Zelle® to get started. For future scheduled payments, funds will be available on the delivery day you select.

What if they’re not enrolled? If you send money through Zelle® with an email or phone number to someone who isn’t enrolled, they'll receive a notification that prompts them to enroll. After they enroll, it may take 1 to 3 business days to receive the money you sent, depending on processing times. (This is a security feature.) Once that payment completes, your recipient will typically receive future payments faster.

If the payment is pending for more than 3 days, we recommend confirming that the recipient has activated their Zelle® profile and that you entered his or her email address or U.S. mobile number correctly.

If the recipient doesn't respond to the payment notification by enrolling after 14 days, the money will be returned to your account automatically.

If you have already enrolled with Zelle®, you do not need to take any further action. The money will move directly into your bank account associated with your profile, typically within minutes1.

If you have not yet enrolled your Zelle® profile, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on the link provided in the payment notification.
  2. Select your bank or credit union.
  3. Follow the instructions provided on the page to enroll and receive your payment.

If your bank or credit union is NOT listed, then download the Zelle® app and enroll your Visa® or Mastercard® debit card.

Requesting money using Zelle: To request money using Zelle, log in to your Regions Online Banking account or the Regions Mobile Banking app. Tap Request and select the contact from whom you want to receive the money1. If the contact you are requesting money from is not listed in your Zelle contacts, you can add them. Enter the amount you want to request. Tap Review. If everything is correct, tap Request. If there is something you need to change you can tap Back to make corrections. Your contact will receive a notification by text or email that you have requested money. When your contact approves the request, we'll notify you that they've responded and sent you money, which will go directly into your account and be available typically in minutes.

How do I receive money from someone using Zelle?

How do I receive money? To receive money, you must enroll an email address or U.S. mobile number with Zelle® in Wells Fargo Online. Once enrolled, provide that email address or U.S. mobile number to the person sending you money.

How long does it take to receive money from Zelle Regions bank?

Standard: Although Zelle transactions can happen fast (typically in minutes), Regions also has the option of sending money with standard delivery. The recipient will receive the money within one to three business days, provided the transaction occurs prior to the applicable cut-off time*.
