First Order Update - They sent iPhone 13 pro max case but a damaged piece which has cut at volume up button! Missed to take photos before I requested for replacement!Second Order Update - They put iPhone 12 pro max case in iPhone 13 pro max box which is not compatible! Pictures attached! Inner ring will not be same for both and camera cut out is different.. also silent switch will be misplaced! Now I returned this order and placed new order on Apple Website!

Apple this year, 2022 notoriously changed the ‘Saddle Brown’ to ‘Golden Brown’ which in my perspective is an unacceptable and immature color choice.

Moreover, the top layer has been treated with a paint/coating which hinders the absorption of skins natural oil acting as a catalyst for Patina which we all aim for. Hence, to achieve that — scrub off the case with Salvon/Alchcol wipes through. The Top Grain layer of the leather is exposed. Apply some oil or Use a brown Leather dye.

Then I applied Brown Leather dye.

So much for a Leather Connoisseur but worth the effort.

However, my phone keeps sliding out from the case, especially on the bottom left corner.
Tried two of them and the issue is the same.

I brought this a week after getting the iPhone 13 pro max in sierra blue. I’d used the phone without a case for a while it felt exactly like a brand new iPhone should. I have small hands and it’s a big, weighty phone so as much as I wanted to stay without a case it wasn’t going to work. I used a clear plastic spiegan case which was great. Very grippy and gave confidence using the phone. I wanted something a bit more special so looked at these cases it was a toss up between the ‘wisteria’ and this colour. In the end I decided the darker colour would probably age better and show stains less.

The case is a great fit. The cut outs are as you expect, perfect. The buttons are a metal finish and make a satisfying push.

Grip wise, a couple of days only of use and it’s less grippy than the Spiegan clear plastic case. But I think that’s to be expected. The back is smoother but if you have warm hands you probably will be fine. The sides have a slight lip around to give grip and protect the screen when face down. The camera bump has a lip to protect the lenses but it’s not as deep as the other case.

Overall I’m very happy. It’s not cheap but if your reading this you have a £1,000+ phone and a £60 case might not be too much of a stretch. It’s a really nice case. I would definitely recommend it.

The colour is a very dark plumb colour. Slightly lighter in sun light and if the light hits it just right you get a nice flash of the blue around the screen edge against the plumb/cheery. It’s lush.

Bevor ich mir nochmal 3 verschiedene Hüllen kaufe, kaufe ich mir lieber sofort diese Lederhülle von Apple direkt. Erspart einige Nerven.
