This fast-growing community is on the rise, due to many factors, such as a below average crime rate, great job outlook and reasonable cost of living. It’s home to 12,000 people and has a median income of $147,000. It’s located 33 miles from downtown Dallas and 30 miles from downtown Fort Worth. It’s a hot spot for real estate due to its close proximity to DFW International Airport and the Las Colinas business center.

9.  Flower Mound

The schools here are top-notch but it costs a lot to live here, despite the median income being on the lower side for this area, at $137,000. The average home price is $446,000 and the population is 76,000. As one of the safest cities in the state, Flower Mound has a well-maintained park system, low crime rate, highly-rated public schools, great shopping opportunities and high quality of life.

10.                Bedford

More affordable that the other cities on the list, Bedford has a median income of $70,000 and average home sale price of $253,000. It has many green spaces and parks, it was ranked one of the “Best Places to Live 2017” by Money magazine, it has a rich arts scene, and offers lots of fun events such as the Bedford Blues and BBQ Festival.
