Inside the cabin, these Sahara models also offer 31.5 cubic feet of dedicated storage space—and a max of 70.6 cubic feet with rear seats folded down.

By the fourth-generation Wrangler Unlimited, the Sahara is positioned as the second-from-top-tier trim and comes equipped with the same 3.6L V6 engine from the previous generation. Four-wheel drive is still standard, and is a six-speed manual transmission. For this generation, however, an eight-speed automatic transmission also became optional for the first time when this model was sold. Another optional engine also made its debut for the 2018 model year: a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder that comes exclusively with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
