Micro pomeranian puppies for sale near me

Cute, fluffy, and feisty, Pomeranians are toy dog breeds that are HDB-approved and ideal for first time owners. This toy dog breed is the smallest of the Spitz breeds but comes with huge personalities that could rival that of big dogs! Perfect to fit apartments, condos, or family houses, Pomeranians are extremely friendly, despite being bossy at times, and are very loyal to their owners. Despite their adorable appearance, they make for great guard dogs that tend to bark a lot, especially at strangers or unfamiliar noises to alert you.

If you like tiny, active dogs that make for awesome companions, then a Pomeranian may be suitable for you! These courageous and fit puppies enjoy moving around the house or outside to keep them busy, so you’ll enjoy playing with them with a toy or tow. Pomeranians are known for their thick manes that are surprisingly easy to groom and maintain. Poms are also smart breeds that can follow tricks easily, since they love learning new things and making their owners happy.

A Pomeranian is okay to take outside for a lengthy walk, or content to just strut around the house to keep themselves busy. Because of their small stature, they don’t do well under extreme heat. Their breed is also the type to shed frequently as well. A Pomeranian may not get along well with families’ small children and other dogs, but with proper socialization and introduction, they may grow up well to get along well with others. Pomeranian History

A Pomeranian is a direct descent of spitz-type dogs that were known to be sled dogs in Iceland and Lapland. Its name was coined from its origin, Pomerania, where they were developed. Just like with other popular breeds, the Pomeranian gained its popularity because of royal families. Not only were they popular with them, but known historical figures such as Martin Luther King, Isaac Newton, Mozart, and Michaelangelo owned their own Poms as well. The appeal for these small breeds continued to rise as they were used to competing in dog competitions and were continuously bred to be smaller than it was when it was first developed.

Pomeranian Puppies Personality

Pomeranian is lively, independent, and cuddly that tends to act as if they’re big dogs (despite being tiny!). They’re energetic and curious; always up for a walk and looking into unfamiliar places and objects. They can certainly match your energy if you do decide to go for a jog and are friendly to other dogs that they pass by. Poms are natural-born extroverts.

They love to play as much as they love to snuggle with you. They also easily adapt well to what you want them to do – whether it’s to get used to being carried in a purse or be more of an outdoor dog that loves to run around and fetch.

Pomeranian Size

When they were first bred, they weighed around 30 pounds. Nowadays, the typical weight of a Pom when it grows into an adult weighs around 3 to 7 pounds. Their height is around 6 to 7 inches. To spot a Pomeranian, they characteristically have fox-like features, dark almond-shaped eyes, and you’ll see them have a smiling face. Their coat is long and fluffy that comes in a variation of solid or a combination of colors such as red, cream, black, tan, orange, chocolate, brindle, and white.

How to Care Pomeranian Puppies: Grooming & Basic Needs

Pomeranians are easy to take care of and do not require a lot of fussing or pampering. They are the ideal pet indoors. They don’t take up a lot of space and are active pups that don’t mind playing inside or outside the house. When it comes to grooming their mane, it’s easy to groom and maintain. Their coat needs frequent brushing weekly to avoid tangles, matting,  and shedding. Like with other dogs, they require regular bathing and are brought to the grooming salons every few months to trim and shape their coat. Make it a regular habit to check their eyes (for possible tear tracks), brush their teeth, and clip their nails.

Pomeranian Common Health Condition / Training / Nutrition

A Pom has a tendency to bark a lot, especially when it comes to strangers or other dogs, so early socialization and training must be utilized. When training them, it could be difficult to do so because of their short attention span, so make each session short and fun. When it comes to housebreaking training, be sure to be patient, consistent, and use positive reinforcement. Because of their short legs, they don’t require vigorous exercise and are content with long walks or jogging alongside you, with the stamina to match.

A Pomeranian is generally healthy but with other breeds, they are also prone to health risks. They have a small stature and legs, so they can be prone to injuries. Limit their jumping and avoid letting them jump off of furniture. Keep them at their optimal health condition by regularly visiting a vet to check for possible diseases, health issues, or problems. The average lifespan of a Pomeranian lasts from 12 to 16 years.

To match their size, feeding a Pomeranian requires a small amount of feeding. They are also prone to becoming overweight, so make sure to control their portion depending on their size, activity level, and other factors. If you are unsure, you may consult with your local veterinarian to recommend you the proper feeding and nutrition guide for your Pom.

How much is micro Pomeranian?

Teacup Pomeranians can cost anywhere from $1500 to $6500+, depending on the breeder, age of the puppy, location, sex, color, and health status. There are many factors that affect the price of Teacup Pomeranians.

How long do micro Pomeranians live?

Are Teacup Pomeranians healthy? Both regular Poms and Teacup Poms have an average lifespan of 12-15 years. They are generally healthy dogs, but all breeds are naturally more susceptible to certain conditions. Teacup dogs also come with their own separate health risks because of their size.

How big do micro Pomeranians get?

This tiny dog usually matures between 3 and 7 lbs and is 8 to 11 inches in height ( from the top of the shoulder blades to the ground). If the Mini Teacup Pomeranian dog is a show-type Pomeranian, then the adult Teacup Pomeranian's height and a Teacup Pom's full-grown size will be the same as the show Pomeranians.

What is the tiniest Pomeranian?

Teacups are smaller than standard toy-sized Poms. As we've discussed, a “teacup” Pomeranian is not an official breed. The American Kennel Club only recognizes Pomeranians in the Toy Group and characterizes them by weighing between 3-7 pounds. This means a “teacup” Pomeranian is any Pom that weighs less than 3 pounds.
