The Carson City Planning Commission approved a request for a Special Use Permit for a new retail marijuana store at the Sept. 28 meeting.

and Nye Lane, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong confirmed. The motorcycle rider died in the crash.

World championship competitions are celebrated around the globe. But in Virginia City, such competitions are taken to levels beyond the wild and unusual, such as the International Camel and Ostrich Races earlier this month.
