It wouldn't move... Put penetrant on it and tried again... No luck... Put more penetrant on it and let it sit overnight... Tried about 3 times and it finally cracked loose... From there it took 5 minutes to complete... What I overlooked was that due to the leak, a lime buildup had sealed the mounting screw in place... Ha... Ha! I spent over 5.5 hours completely removing the faucet, cleaning up the corroded pieces, having to horse really stuck parts and doing the finally cleaning. I took my time on the assembly to lubricate o-rings and threads on the metal parts. The assembly went well, but I found a part I will need to order and replace, it is plastic that screws onto a brass component and the threads are not in great shape. I am glad I did not have to pay a plumber to do the work, it would have cost more than a new faucet. Did you find this story helpful? Thanks for voting and helping fellow customers!
