System requirements

The first thing you’ll need if you want to connect your Oculus Quest 2 to your PC is the software. Visit oculus.com/setup and press Download Quest 2 PC App under Air Link and Link Cable section.

There are also different download links for Oculus Rift S, Oculus Quest, and Oculus Go. So, please be aware of your device type before clicking the download button.

As the minimum requirements, Oculus Link will need a computer with Windows 10. It is quite unfortunate that Windows 11 is not yet supported with the Oculus software. It is also suggested that you have 8 GB of RAM or greater.

The recommended processor is Intel Intel i5-4590 / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or higher. Meanwhile, for the GPUs, NVIDIA GeForce GTC 1650 Super or above and AMD 400 series or higher are recommended. To see a complete list of the GPUs, please visit Oculus Link system requirements.

Once everything is set, let’s jump to the tutorial.

1. Power on your Oculus Quest 2 headset.

2. Launch the Oculus app on your PC.

3. Go to Devices > Add Headset and select Quest 2 as your headset. Click Continue.

The main reason why you are unable to enable Oculus Link on your computer is that some features are missing. You are supposed to see Add Quest option, Enable Link pop-up, or Enable Link option under Settings on your PC software. If one of those functions is missing, then you cannot enable the Oculus Link on your PC.

Luckily, it is quite easy to fix this issue. You can simply do one of the following methods:

  1. Sign out of the app and sign in back.
  2. Restart your PC.
  3. Update the Oculus software.

With the Oculus Quest 2 connected to your PC, you are able to control your computer using your VR headset. You can open apps, watch movies, browse the internet, play games, and many more. It’s safe to say that your headset and controller are no different from your keyboard and mouse.

Well then, it’s time to play VR games on your PC. Here are some VR games you can play: Half-Life: Alyx, Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, Rez Infinite, Thumper, Superhot VR, Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes, and I Expect You To Die.
