- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
- Anyone else playing this again now that it's 60 FPS on the Series X?
Ebonsword 11 months ago#1 Been playing through this game again since the backwards compatibility update came out. I loved it back in the day and it turns out that I still love it. The 60 FPS is nice. It still doesn't look quite as good as the PC version, but it's a lot easier to get the Xbox version running (Games for Windows Live seems to cause a lot off issues with the PC version). |
Nerfoy48 11 months ago#2 I have been replaying it but just
because it was my first ever RE game. I haven't been on GameFAQS since 2017. I'm not looking to argue in discussions. Simply talk about my opinions and stuff. Hope you understand and have a goodday. |
SamsungCastella 11 months ago#3 Yeah, I've been playing it through again and it's fun, been trying to beat professional, and it's tough. Don't got a series X since scalpers exist, but hey. I don't really mind, boosted or not this game still runs like a dream to me. |

Which makes me think if I should switch from SONY to Microsoft hmmm... The only way to play ORC on PS4/PS5 is with the awful service PS Now, I don't recommend it. I have Windows Live and ORC on Steam, is it crossplay with 360 people? I just log on ORC on PC and it says I'm on windows live. My tantsuyem lyubov' s toboy (edited 11 months ago) |

I made the switch from PS4 -> XSX this gen and it’s been fantastic. I wish I had been getting more games on Xbox over the years. Probably won’t go back to PS now. As for cross play or MP being active, I am not sure. Have not looked in to either of those things yet . |

enjoyable. I liked ORC when it first released, but the improved performance helps a lot with lining up shots. |

2021 Xbox Anniversary Celebration live-stream, Microsoft revealed a list of over 70 backward compatible titles, including NieR. This is the final batch of games that Microsoft will add to the list. Aside from NieR, the Max Payne series, Dead or Alive Ultimate, and Mortal Kombat are also new additions. [Thanks, Nibellion!]
The entire list of games that will be available in the Xbox backwards compatibility program is as follows:

Microsoft will also include FPS Boost on eleven of the new games. Among these titles will be NieR and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
As mentioned earlier, this is the last bunch of backward compatible games that will appear for Xbox consoles. According to Peggy Lo, who is the compatibility program lead at Xbox, Microsoft is no longer able to bring in any more old games due to licensing, legal, or technical issues. However, in 2019, Xbox announced that it would not add any more Xbox or Xbox 360 games to the compatibility library. Yet NieR originally came out on the Xbox 360 in 2010. While there are no current plans to add any more games to the library, this may change in the future.
All 76 Xbox backward compatible games, including NieR, are now available to play. In other NieR news, Square Enix is selling a NieR Replicant Emil head plush in its Japanese online store.
