Hey Maryse, I have a book that’s been eluding me for years.
I MAY be spotty on the details, but what I (think) I remember is our heroine is on the run from her ex. She made a new life for herself in a small town (I wanna say Maine or somewhere, but that could be totally wrong).
The hero who wants to get to know our girl is an ex pro athlete (hockey, maybe?) *swoon*
Random, but I seem to remember she liked working on her flower garden.
BUT she’s on the run from an abusive ex, remember? *cue dramatic Lifetime movie music*
Lol, hope this sparks someone’s memory!

Maryse: Okay I’m probably wrong on this one, but this is one of my ultimate favorite books ever, and she’s starting over, and HE is a super-grumpy reclusive pro MMA champion and their “meet cute” just MELTED ME. I fell HARD in love at that very moment.
My guess is: Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts Book 1) by Kele Moon <— OMG EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS AWESOMENESS!!!!!! Here’s my 4.5 star review, and in all honestly, now that I realize despite it being years since I’ve read it, it should be 5 stars ’cause I remember it, and even my feelings while I was reading it. This one stuck with me.
