Not sure if this will help anyone, but yes, it really seems like the S21 Ultra has been discontinued worldwide. You know how with most phones, we would just wait for the new ones to come out (e.g. S22 Ultra) and for the previous generations to get cheaper?
I guess they really wanted to make the S21 Ultra have that kind of limited-edition, luxury option. I honestly had no idea that this would happen but I'm glad I got mine when it first launched, this was my first flagship actually.
In comparison with the S22 Ultra I'd say it's more of a difference in the design than anything. Everywhere I try to buy it in my country (Romania) the stores are out of stock - I actually had to go to 5 different stores in my city to find this S21 Ultra back in July 2021. And they only had one model left, the black one with 256GB/12 RAM.
On Samsung's website they redirect you to an online third party merchant, and guess what, they only have two left in stock, and the prices are high, close to €2000. I bought mine for 40€ month for 2 years. Maybe people who want to upgrade from their S20s, but don't want the Note20 or the S22 Ultra because of the design, can get this one instead and now it's basically considered a rarity. I really honestly consider the S21 Ultra the best phone made ever so far.
