What we tweaked was: we used fresh mushrooms that I had sauteed and froze, 1/2 cup instead of the canned mushrooms; used about 4 pounds or so of round steak, added 3 medium onions roughly chopped, about 10 carrots peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks, about 6 large ribs of celery cut into 1 inch chunks, and because I had more meat, and added veggies, I also added extra packet of onion soup mix, an extra 1/4 cup of water, and an extra can of cream of mushroom soup. We cooked it on high for about 4 hours and on low for about 4 hours because of all the added ingredients. Next time, I will not add the extra water so it will be a little thicker. We ate it over rice. Will definitely make it again, it was SO GOOD! These crockpot cube steaks include tender steaks with cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix.
