The pictures and charts are hard to see on the kindle but I found the book really helpful. And so did a lot of my friends, as I posted a lot from it onto FaceBook.

I found this book useful and informative, especially about the nature of anxiety (and similar phenomena like stress), its meaning and symptoms. It describes lots of exercises and practical approaches one can take advantage of, as well as skills that one should patiently learn and develope. However, the book didn't give me the motivation to do all of that, it was for me just a cold and formal acquisition of information and techniques -very valid, interesting and based on hard work and on-the-field observations, but still lacking of those motivational and somehow revealing features that, in my opinion, should be a must for psychology books. Nothing new from CBT and MBCT, too shallow, more like an introduction.

Like the other workbooks, this offers useful homework assignments for clients and talking pieces for therapy sessions.

I found it dumb. They over-explain everything, the solutions are over-simplified. Boring. The same book condensed in 30 pages would have been better. I've read other DBT books which are more stimulating. I found it dumb. They over-explain everything, the solutions are over-simplified. Boring. I thought this book was a fantastic use in counseling. Really enjoyed the explanation of DBT and how to utilize it with clients. Had great worksheet to help the clients understand what we were doing and why.
