The gun is clean. It is missing the flip up sight in the rear, which most of them are, and the little black knob that is on the bolt handle. Otherwise, intact. The cap cover is there, and there are no breaks or cracks. The bolt pulls back, but the trigger pull does not make it fire. You can coax it to fire by inserting a small screwdriver, and pushing forward on the armature that the trigger makes contact with. Apparently something has come loose inside. Perhaps someone with a little more daring can get it to fire. There appears to be a small orange thing in the end of the barrel, which renders it a toy, and thus unable to be made to fire lethal projectiles. So that you can feel safe while handling this toy gun. The pictures should tell most of the story. It displays great, and maybe someone can fix it. This is a vintage Tommy Burst toy machine gun. The gun dates to 1962, manufactured by Mattel. (You can tell it's Mattel, it's swell!)The replica Tommy gun measures about 25 inches long. Overall, it is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks to the body. It works as designed and, even without caps, makes that satisfying "rat-a-tat" sound when the bolt is pulled back and the trigger engaged. Or, if you choose, it will "fire" a single shot. There are some slight scuffs on the finish with minor plastic discoloration due to age. The flip-up sight that originally came with this model is missing. The gun hasn't been tested with caps. I believe there was a metallic guide plate that originally attached to the inside of the cap cover. That piece is not present. But the rest of the firing mechanism appears to be complete. When pulled, the trigger trips the hammer and advances the metal cylinder. See photos - including a close-up of the interior compartment - for details. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail. Ebay will calculate cost based upon your location. So if you're a collector toy guns or vintage toys, this classic Mattel Tommy Burst makes for a very fun addition. Thanks much for checking out this listing!"This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug."
