Whats the difference between cooking vinegar and cleaning vinegar

While there are many types of vinegar used for cooking and salad dressings (red, white, champagne, balsamic, rice, apple cider, to name a few), cleaning vinegar is an entirely different product that's made specifically for household cleaning and should never be consumed.

Vinegar isn't only for cooking. It's also an eco-friendly and inexpensive household cleaner. And in most cases, you only need to mix vinegar with water. Although, you can add salt and baking soda to create a more abrasive cleaner or a few drops of essential oil for a lighter scent.

White Vinegar is generally seen as the best vinegar for cleaning because it has high acidity level (5%), making it effective at removing dirt and grime as well as for sanitizing. It also has clear color, so it does not leave stains on light colored surfaces or clothing.
