It is being reported by Yahoo! Sports that Brett Favre's sister, Brandi Favre, has been arrested. Brandi Favre appeared in a Mississippi courtroom and was jailed on $40,000 bond only a day after she was arrested during a methamphetamine bust.

Brandi Favre, 34, was in the courtroom just 10 minutes before Hancock County Justice Court Judge Tom Carver Sr. set the $40,000 bond on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and also generating hazardous waste.

If Brandi Favre is convicted, she can face up to $1 million in fines and can also face up to 30 years in prison on each count.

Favre was among five people arrested in Wednesday's bust.

The raid took place at a condo in Diamondhead, Mississippi, and the Hancock County Sheriff Matt Karl stated that a meth lab was found in the bathroom.

Karl also stated that this was not the first time that deputies had encountered Brandi Favre. In 1999 Favre was booked for felony shoplifting. In 1996, Favre was connected to a drive-by shooting.

Brett Favre has yet to release a statement regarding his younger sister's arresting.

This is just another controversy that the former Vikings quarterback will be forced to deal with.

It has been a tough year on Brett Favre, who had a disappointing season with the Vikings. Favre's consecutive starts streak was snapped and No. 4 was also fined $50,000 dollars for not cooperating in an NFL investigation regarding a Jets' reporter.

  • Months after the investigation of Mary's kidnapping, and the FBI's unsuccessful raid seeking methamphetamine at Mary's house, the FBI arrests Brandi on drug charges stemming from that investigation. Wondering where the FBI got new information to bring the charges, Mary asks Stan's help to sweep her house for bugs, and they discover a device planted in one of the walls. Mary learns that the young woman who recently came to visit Jinx might be her half-sister - but suspects that that woman might actually have been part of an FBI ruse.

  • (Previously on... we see a recap of last season, including Brandi's sleazoid boyfriend who got her wrapped up in drugs and nearly got Mary killed. Brandi was saved by Raph taking the meth and using it to line the infield of his ballpark -- making sliding into home extra fun, for sure.)

In fuzzy dream sequence, Brandi cooks up meth with her sleazoid boyfriend and plans to stash it at Mary's. Then Mary looks at her sister's file and asks how her sister entered the program. FBI Agent O'Conner gets in her face. There's knocking, telling her to wake up. And then she does, hearing actual knocking.

Agent O'Conner and his men break down her doors. They're there for Brandi, arresting her on drug trafficking and murder charges. She makes O'Conner wait so they can get her dressed. She takes Brandi's head in her hands and yells at her not to say a word until she can get her a lawyer.

Mary leaves her mom and Raph at home as she goes into the FBI office. Marshall meets her there and gives her a "be calm" talk on the way in.

Inside, Mary finds Brandi cuffed to a table in the interview room. She asks what the feds could have on her that they didn't have three months ago. Brandi has no idea.

Marshall checks that Mary knows she's not responsible for Brandi's problems. And then Mary goes on trying to figure out how to solve them. She wonders if her house might be bugged. She calls Stan, checking that if someone listened in to her official work conversations at home it would constitute a breach of witsec security.

At Mary's house, a tech scans the walls. He finds something. Jinx comes out of the shower and wants to know what's going on. Mary catches her up and tells her they're better off leaving the bug there and not letting the FBI know they know it's there. Mary asks if they've talked about the drugs in the house (which, in the previously on we see that they did), but she says no. Then Mary asks if anyone she didn't know has been in the house. Just supposed half-sister Lauren, Jinx realizes.

Jinx tells Mary that Lauren, who was there yesterday, is her half-sister. She tells her the whole story, which Mary can't believe she bought. Mary tells her mom that Lauren must be FBI.

Brandi is processed by the FBI.

M & M go to the office. Mary gets a call, telling her her phones weren't tapped. They discuss the bug's rather large size and whether Mary can find out if there's a warrant for it. Stan looked into it, but no one's being helpful.

Eleanor comes and offers her help. Mary takes her up on it, asking her to use her FBI contacts to find out if Lauren really is an agent. When Eleanor mentions those are highly classified files, Mary uses her very best sarcasm to suggest, perhaps, she just find out if she exists.

Marshall tells her to go easy on Eleanor and suggests maybe Lauren isn't FBI. But Mary's not considering it.

Jinx and Raph waste time at home. Jinx feels frantic and helpless. She calls herself a "miserable excuse for a mother." Raph doesn't correct her, but then says he can tell she's trying. Jinx decides to call Brandi's rich boyfriend Peter, even though Brandi told her not to.

M & M visit smug Agent O'Conner. Mary sits down and tries to ask politely what this is all about. He calls Brandi a criminal and Mary says she was the victim of an abusive boyfriend. Marshall says that even if Brandi got mixed up in drugs, she backed out of a deal and dropped a dime on a big time meth dealer, so why is O'Conner wasting so much manpower on the case?

Mary sums up, understanding that O'Conner is pursuing the case because there is something "fundamentally hinky" about him. She and Marshall get up to leave as O'Conner shouts questions after her, asking when she knew her sister was a meth dealer and what happened to the drugs?

M & M go to Brandi's arraignment and find Jinx and Raph there. Brandi's lawyer walks in late and Jinx tells Mary that she called Peter. The lawyer explains the murder charges are because two FBI agents were killed in New Jersey in connection with the crime and if she's involved at all, she's on the hook for the murders. Brandi sits in shock and cries. The US Attorney amends the charges to include Mary's kidnapping, due to new evidence.

Brandi catches up her lawyer. Yes, she was on the phone with kidnapper Spanky when he had Mary, but only because he meant to kidnap her instead.

The judge schedules a hearing for a week from today. Mary tells her sister to stay strong as they take her away.

M & M go back to the office, where Stan has heard they visited O'Conner. He orders her to stay away from O'Conner unless it's on official business. Then Mary, exasperated, asks Eleanor why it's so hard to get the surveillance warrant to see who bugged her.

"I don't know, maybe because they're sealed under federal authority?" Eleanor says, defensive.

Marshall finds in the FBI files that O'Conner was scheduled to be on the raid in New Jersey on which two agents were killed. They wonder why he'd miss the big raid for his case. Mary asks Stan if she can go see O'Conner. Instead, Stan gets Marshall on the first flight to New Jersey.

Eleanor gets a call on her cell phone. She tells Mary that O'Conner hasn't filed for any warrants in the past three months. The bug isn't his. And there's no agent matching Lauren's description. Or so Eleanor says, Mary replies. Eleanor reminds her she just went out on a limb for her and Mary questions if she even made the calls at all. Eleanor worked for the FBI right until Mary and her sister started being investigated. She suggests Eleanor is a plant.

Eleanor says she worked for the FBI until her husband died. If she even had a husband, Mary says.

Eleanor takes a deep breath and tells Mary that she's trying to help and everything she just told her is true. Mary storms outside. Marshall follows, telling her to cool off.

Mary's stuck on the fact that Eleanor showed up two days after O'Conner raided her house.

Marshall tells her to consider the possibility that Lauren might actually be her sister. Mary says her dad wouldn't have done that without telling her about it. Marshall asks if she's in touch with her father. She says no. Marshall says that if her dad's really out there he doesn't believe he'd want his daughter to suffer the way she's suffering. Mary breaks down crying and Marshall holds onto her.

Stan learns that Nick Bonnetti, the guy who told the feds about Brandi and the Spanky phone call, was arrested two days ago and spilled. He gets Eleanor looking into it.

Detective Bobby drops by. Stan catches him up and he brings by his file on Mary's kidnapping. They get to work on pinning down the phone call from Spanky to Brandi.

Marshall knocks on the FBI widow's door in Jersey. He wants to talk about O'Conner. She reluctantly lets him in.

Raph and Jinx visit Brandi at the jail. The lawyer says the FBI wants to talk about a deal. Brandi wants to know why Mary isn't there and Jinx says that Mary's working on getting her out.

Mary tries to apologize to Eleanor, but Eleanor tells her not today, maybe tomorrow. Fair enough.

Mary gets a text from Raph about the deal they're offering Brandi. She goes to the court house.

Meanwhile, they tells Brandi they'll give her 25 years on the drug charges and drop the murder and kidnapping charges. Then the assistant US Attorney tells her she has 10 minutes to take the deal or they'll go ahead with conspiracy charges on Mary. O'Conner offers her a pen on his way out.

Marshall calls Mary and asks if she's sitting down.

Brandi picks up the pen and goes to sign. Her lawyer tells her to slow down, saying they're only offering a deal because they have no case. But Brandi says she's put Mary through enough. Brandi starts to sign, but Jinx takes the deal away. Brandi asks O'Conner and the attorney back in. Mary comes in the other door.

The US attorney continues to try to intimidate Brandi, but Mary stops him, saying their star witness Nick Bonnetti is a meth addict who's made a career out of testifying against meth addicts and they have no physical evidence. And, she says to the AUSA, he must know what a liability O'Conner is.

According to Albuquerque PD, O'Conner took control of the kidnapping case at 3:45 p.m. and Brandi got the Spanky call at 9:58 p.m., which means that while Brandi was allegedly masterminding the whole thing she was in O'Conner's custody. So he's either involved, or inept.

She asks Brandi if she sees why they tried to offer her a deal.

The AUSA says he'll get started on processing Brandi out. He tells O'Conner to come find him.

Mary wants a word with O'Conner. She tells him Marshall spoke with the widow of the man he replaced on the raid. At first she felt sorry for him that he'd have to live with the guilt. And then she learned that instead of going on the raid he was in bed with the soon-to-be widow. She tells him she does feel sorry for him having to live with all that pain, but he'll have to find some other way to make it go away.

    Mesa Federal Correctional Institution:

Mary tells a man in prison that she wants to find her father. He tells her they were both arrested on the final bank job and taken to prison. She had always been told he escaped. On the second night in prison a couple of suits came for him and he walked out with them. Those suits even testified that her dad escaped. He thinks her dad made a deal and walked out free and clear. He tells her that her father loved her more than anything. They both say he hasn't contacted them, but they both seem to be lying.

Mary arrives home. Jinx is snuggled around Brandi in bed and Mary finds Raph in her bed, asleep.

She stares at the ownerless bug she found in her house and touches it slowly. "Daddy?," she says to it, "If this is you and you're listening, I don't need you any more." Then she disables it.
