2015 chevy silverado driver window not working

Check the wires in the door jamb for breaks. Try grabbing the rubber boots and moving it around while operating the switches to see if they start working.

1. Test the driver's window switch power and ground feeds.

2. Check for wire breaks in the door jamb boot.

3. If there is low/no voltage on the Yellow wire in terminal 43 at the switch, cut the Yellow wire in terminal 22 in the X2 connector at the Body Control Module (BCM).

4. Confirm there are 12 volts on the Yellow wire on the BCM side of the cut.

5. If there are 12 volts, check for an open in the Yellow wire between the BCM and the driver power window switch.

Why is my driver side window not working?

If the fuse is blown, pushing a window button will do nothing at all: The motor won't groan and the glass won't quiver. If the fuse is good and you can hear the motor, or the glass acts like it wants to move, then you've got some sort of mechanical problem. If not, check the fuse.

How do I know if my window switch or motor is bad?

If you suspect your power window switch is going bad or failing, watch for the following symptoms:.
All the windows quit working. ... .
Only one window stops working. ... .
Window works from master switch only. ... .
Windows work sometimes..

How do you get a window to roll up when the motor is broken?

With the window button depressed, open and then slam the car door. If it doesn't work the first time, you can try it a few more times. If it does work, and you keep the button pushed, the window should roll up. If the window rolls up, don't roll it back down unless you are ready to actually fix the problem.

Can a power window switch be repaired?

In some cases, a switch connection can be repaired. Our technicians can get into the switch pack, remove the springs and clean or replace the broken connections.
