Anyone have one? Searched and came up with nothing. Driver's side rear went partially down today and never came back up (or finished going down). Its been slow for awhile. I took the door panel off and tried to pin out the connector to see if power was getting to it. I got 12V when the master switch on the driver's door was switched down. But got nothing in any of them while trying to go up (but not sure which wire to test). Trying to locate a wiring diagram to help troubleshoot the issue. Thanks!

Pull the boot in between the door and body. You more then likely have a broken wire in there. I had the same issue last year and pulled the panel only to find the broken wire in the boot.

In the passenger door, or driver door? I had found stuff about this in my search, but would really like to know what wire colors I'm looking for. Guess its time to check out the local parts store for a manual.

FYI, theses do not "drive" the windows from the drivers switch. The Drivers switch talks to the door modules over the data bus. The drivers panel is the master.
If a Drivers door wire is damaged, it can cause this.
Also, rapidly move the rear window switch at the drivers position. Up/Down/Up/Down, see if the window responds.

What are symptoms of a bad module? Both r/s windows on my 04 won't work. Have power (orange wire) to the module (r/f) but the window will not go down or up. It will however work via the master.

Weather is horrible out there tonight, no progress to report. If it is the regulator/motor, is there a recommended brand to go with for replacement? When they die, do they not make any noise? I get nothing, no clicking, no grinding.

Was able to fix it last night. It was the red and blue wires in the door jam. Pulled the boot back and bingo, blue was disconnected and the red one pulled apart with one tug. Turns out it had been repaired once before. They did a very nice job with it, using the correct heat shrink size (dealer maybe?). My guess is that it was just too much tension and it pulled apart. I put a small jumper in and its back up and running. Thanks for all the help!

Old post, solved my problem today

I really appreciate that old posts stay on the forum. The windows on my 2003 Grand only worked when the door was closed. I took the door panels off hoping to see a loose connector. Finding nothing, I replaced the door panel. Now nothing worked. And the window was half down. Now I had to find the problem.

This post pointed me to the wire bundle inside the boot- and I found two broken wires. Repairing them took a few hours, but now everything works as expected.

Now, I have a new problem. How do I replace the boot over the plastic sleeve?

Its a PITA and eventually I gave up. I got it as far as I could then used some electrical tape to hold it there and keep water out.

Remove the sleeve from the door. Fit the sleeve inside the rim of the boot. Then snap the sleeve/boot back in the door.

How do I remove the sleeve? Do I need to remove the door panel again?

I didnt remove the panel to fix the broken wire. But even trying to put the boot on that white connector and then snap the connector back into the door didnt work for me.I gave up and used some electrical tape to seal the boot to the door. Its out of the way and I never see it. The tape keeps dust and water out so I left it.
