Price: KBB expects 2023 Ford Expedition pricing to start at around $51,000.
The Ford Expedition is one SUV that can do it all. It’s an outstanding family hauler with three super spacious rows of seats, plus plenty of cargo space. It also has truck-like capabilities with a maximum towing capacity of 9,300 pounds with its twin-turbo V6 engine.
The Expedition just got a thorough update for 2022 with freshened styling, new Timberline and Stealth trims, and a big tech update, including the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system. For that reason, we expect the 2023 Expedition to be a carryover model without significant changes. The model range, pricing, and powertrain options should be about the same as the 2022 model.
With two wheelbases and a wide range of trims available like the off-road-ready Timberline, luxurious Platinum, and the more affordable lower trims, there’s an Expedition for everyone in the market for a full-size SUV that can haul the whole family while towing a boat without breaking a sweat.
2023 Ford Expedition Pricing
We expect the 2023 Ford Expedition pricing to start at about $51,000 for the base, standard-wheelbase model. For a fully-loaded, long-wheelbase Expedition Platinum Max, you can expect to pay around $80,000. If you have more room in your budget, consider the luxurious cousin of the Expedition, the Lincoln Navigator.
The closest rival to the Ford Expedition is the Chevrolet Tahoe. For the long-wheelbase Expedition Max, it’s the Chevrolet Suburban. The full-size Chevy SUVs are priced similarly to their Ford counterparts. The big difference is the Chevrolet models offer a choice of two V8 engines or a turbo-diesel under the hood. In contrast, the sole engine option in the Ford is a robust twin-turbo V6 available with a few different tunings.
