Chinese delivery restaurants near me open now

Even with dining restrictions fully relaxed, takeaways and deliveries are still expected to play a larger part in our lives than during the pre-pandemic days . Many restaurants have now put their focus back on dine-in menus but the infrastructure built over the last 2 years in handling takeaways and deliveries stays for the most part. For now, most Chinese food lovers can still look forward to enjoying their favorite dishes at home, with families or close friends, especially since hosting at home has also become more popular.

Like everyone else, I have had my fair share of food takeaways and deliveries for the past 16 months (and counting). Among these takeaways, I would say that Chinese food is probably the most frequent cuisine I go for. For this update, I have compiled this list to share some Mothers’ Day Chinese food takeaways and delivery offers. They are arranged in no particular order.

jia wei takeaway set

Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is offering takeaways and deliveries for Mothers’ Day. Signature dishes include the Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork Collar with Hawthorne Sauce (S$30), Wok Fried Ocean Gems Mee Sua (S$24) and Ah Ma Prawn Hae Chor (S$22). I have personally been to Jia Wei to dine a couple of times and absolutely love the food there. It simply is one of the most underrated Chinese restaurants in Singapore. The Iberico pork used for the Sweet and Sour Pork was quite plump and not starchy at all while the Hae Chor was more towards the chewy side.

Delivery: Yes – at fixed S$16 per order (S$3 delivery surcharge applies for Mothers’ Day)

Yun Nans has a number of specially curated set menus. I tried their 4 persons set (S$88) which came with 6 dishes in all such as Braised Egg Beancurd with Fish Maw and Cordyceps Flowers and Stir Fried Pork Collar with Scallion. Is Chinese takeout authentic?

Generally, outside China the "Chinese food" isn't authentic. It is much like international hamburger chain food: tailored for the local taste; quite bland and clichéed, and generally not packed with nutrition. But Chinese food in China isn't like this.
