‘Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back’ is an American reality TV series that airs on Fox. It premiered for the first time on June 13, 2018. The show is hosted by the Emmy-nominated and award-winning chef, Gordon Ramsay. In the show, Gordon Ramsay is seen driving to struggling restaurants around the country in his “Hell on Wheels”, which is a semi-truck with the ability to unfold into a high-tech mobile kitchen.

This is where he retrains the chefs of the struggling restaurants. Ramsay goes in undercover along with a team to survey the condition of the restaurant and its food. He then attempts to address the problems, retraining the staff, revitalizing the menu, all of which culminates in a grand relaunch of the restaurant in the eyes of the public. The format of the show is similar to other Fox network shows like ‘Hotel Hell’ and ‘Kitchen Nightmares’.

The show, after its premiere, has spawned three successful seasons. Here’s all we know about ‘Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back’ season 4.

Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back Season 4 Release Date: When will it premiere?

‘Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back’ Season 3 premiered on January 7, 2020, on Fox. After airing for nine episodes, it wrapped up on February 25, 2020.

Since its launch, ’24 Hours to Hell & Back’ has witnessed decent ratings. Additionally, considering the host’s repo among fans and his long-term relationship with Fox, it can be safely assumed that the series will be renewed for another season.

In February 2020, the Baltimore Business Journal even reported sighting Ramsay’s Hell on Wheels in an area in Ellicott City, packed with restaurants. The report said: “The sighting of Ramsay and his signature vehicle comes just days after Howard County posted a notice saying a “special event” would be happening in Ellicott City from Feb. 21 to Feb. 28 that would close Lot Das well as cause intermittent road closures, traffic disruptions and limited parking on Main Street.”

Although Fox has not officially announced a renewal, fans are already speculating that season 4 has started its filming. Hence, all we need is a solid confirmation. If renewed, we can expect ‘Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back’ Season 4 to premiere sometime in January 2021, considering the fact that seasons 2 and 3 have both premiered in January 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Who’s the host of 24 Hours to Hell and Back?

The premise of ‘Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back’ is basically centered around Gordon Ramsay himself who tries to save the flailing restaurants. Therefore, he is the main host of the show and is assisted by his team.

Ramsay and his team will make a return in the upcoming season, as and when it happens.

What’s Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back about?

The format of ‘Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back’ centers around the celebrity chef trying to save restaurants from shutting down doors due to poor customer reviews. In Ramsay’s trademark style he goes in, completely disses the food, and then tries to simplify the menu and help out the staff, while a crew carries out renovations within the restaurant to suit Ramsay’s aesthetic sense and presumably to make the restaurant more presentable to the public.

While this sounds like a gesture of altruism, Ramsay still spends most of his time yelling or trying to get people to cry. After all, good television requires drama, never mind the fact that these are real business owners and real livelihoods that are at stake here.

Ramsay guides struggling restaurateurs to improve their culinary skills in just 24 hours, but first, he sends a team to keep a check on the restaurant by putting a secret surveillance camera on the crew. After the surveillance, he goes to the restaurant to identify the problems himself. Ramsay and his crew help the restaurant in transforming the place by presenting new menus, retraining the chefs and staff, doing a grand reopening and relaunching in just one day.

Ramsay travels across the United States and visits failing and troubled restaurants on his semi-truck called “Hell On Wheels” which has a high-tech kitchen where he trains the chefs. He is in search of restaurants that are desperately in need of renovation, and he has only a day to save them from getting closed permanently.

In season 3, he tackles nine failing eateries. In each of the restaurants he visits, Ramsay discovers one or two major major issues — some related to management, usage of low-quality ingredients, food safety violations, or dysfunctional staff members.

In the upcoming season, when it is renewed, the show will continue in a similar manner, with more drama and definitely more instances of Ramsay flying off the handle as he battles against the clock to save the future of more restaurants who cannot visibly see any light at the end of the tunnels.
