2005 Honda Civic - Great First CarI really enjoy using my Honda Civic. First of all, it gets great gas mileage. I drive really long distances to meet family or go out of town, and I don't have to fill it up that much. I can make a six hour drive on one tank of gas. Also, I find the drive is very smooth. I am used to large cars, so I was concerned about switching to a compact car low to the ground. However, it was a smooth drive from the very beginning. The Civic is also very reliable. I have over 150,000 miles on it and I have never had any serious issues with the car. I have only had to pay for upkeep and maintenance checks. Overall it has performed well and was a good first car for when I was in college. Show My most memorable story was when we drove my newborn son home from the hospital in the car. It was his first car ride and my husband drove very slowly to get us home safely. One of the top positives of the car is the good gas mileage. I also enjoy the large windows for easy viewing of the road and safety. The Civic is also supposed to have good safety features, which is essential in a smaller car. I also like how it is very compact, which was very essential for when I was living in Los Angeles which had narrow parking and street lanes. The car is also comfortable in the front two seats with plenty of AC and leg room. I have had the car for over 10 years and my life has definitely changed. I now am married and have a child. Even though the Honda is a reliable car, it is quickly becoming too small for my family. It is a good first car, but doesn't grow with your family. Also, I have noticed that the door locks do not always lock completely and some of the dashboard lights do not always work. 2007 Honda Civic - Great ValueThe 2007 Honda Civic is amazing car and keeps it's value to a greater extent than many other cars in its class. There was never a greater time than 2007 to buy a Honda Civic. After I got the car, I noticed that there a HIGH NUMBER of Galaxy Gray Honda Civics in parking lots. Sometimes I'll mistake someone else's car for my own. I'm at 95,000 miles on this car and it has never given me any serious issues. Besides replacing the battery, brakes, and tires, there has been little to no extra repairs or maintenance needed. The gas mileage is decent and there is more room than other compact cars its size. I have a baby seat installed and carry a stroller in the trunk, but there is always room to carry groceries or other supplies. The only negative that I've experience is that the sun visors on both the passenger and driver's side fell off in 2009. I believe that these are covered under warranty, but I have not gotten them replaced. It's an inconvenience with driving into the sun but I haven't had time to take the car into the dealership. See estimated payment Expert ReviewsCar Reviews Stung by criticism of its redesigned 2012 Civic, Honda continues to make improvements aimed at undoing the damage inflicted on its best-known nameplate. This year, the Civic coupe gets the lion’s share of attention, with sleeker looks to lure younger buyers. The Civic may have to work a little harder to win over customers, but it’s still worth every penny. Car Reviews Although it underwent a major overhaul just one year ago, the Honda Civic enters the 2013 model year with fresh batch of standard equipment, better interior materials and improved ride quality. With a range of engines to choose from, along with sedan, coupe and sporty Si variants, there is a Civic to fit most tastes. |
