The Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar is pictured with outline white letters. | © Goodyear The Goodyear Wrangler line of all-terrain tires has been one of the most popular and successful off-road/all-terrain tires on the market for a number of decades. Consumer Reports placed it in second place when it graded SUV and all-terrain tires recently. The only reason it placed lower than its competitor was because it has poorer rolling resistance. Fitment and sizing informationThe Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar is designed mostly for off-road use, although it is also approved for on-highway use. It can be found on Jeep Grand Cherokees, Ford F-150 4X4s, and other four-wheel drive vehicles. Goodyear offers the tire in 46 different sizes for wheels of 15- through 20-inch diameters. The sizes that are available are in the following ranges: • One 15-inch size in SAE measurement: 31X10.50R15LT What Goodyear says about the Wrangler AT AdventureGoodyear calls the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar their “best tire for versatility on- and off-road.” For extra strength the tire is built with DuPont Kevlar. Goodyear also says the tire has superior traction through rain and snow. The tire is warrantied to deliver 60,000 miles of tread life. Uniform government and independent testing resultsThe Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar received above average reports in the Uniform Tire Quality Grading system. It received a score of 640 for treadwear. Temperature and traction grades were “B” and “A” respectively. The tire met the 60,000-mile treadwear warranty when tested. Wrangler AT Adventure graded ‘well above average’ in AT categoryThe Wrangler AT Adventure did quite well when Consumer Reports evaluated it. It received a grade of “excellent” in dry braking and a “very good” in the wet braking category. It received the same mark for handling, hydroplaning resistance and tread life. The tire was considered “good” in snow traction, ice braking, ride comfort and noise. The only red mark against the tire was in rolling resistance, where it received a failing mark of “poor.” Overall, CR says the tire is a “top-rated all-terrain tire” that “delivers well-rounded performance for most driving conditions.” OneClickTires is the best place to buy these tires and other major brandsOneClickTires.com offers fast shipping and warehouse-direct pricing on all major brands. Mar 25, 2019 My 2018 Z71 came with Goodyear Wrangler 255/65 R17 tires. Anybody have any stats on how many miles you got out of them before needing replaced? Thanks! Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

I just turned over 60K and they are still doing okay. It's about time for a new set and I will likely change them out before 70K. Joined Oct 18, 2015 · 537 Posts
I have 62k on mine with about 2-3 mm before the minimum. Goodyear says 65k. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Ratings & reviews I've seen since my purchase have been pretty good. I am impressed with their winter traction here in North Dakota. I only have under 3k on them so hope they last at least 40k. Joined Sep 30, 2017 · 186 Posts

By 20k or so mine only had approx 5/32nds left and were horrible in the rain so I swapped them out for Duratracs which also sucked in the rain. 2021

I had a set of Duratracs as well and gave them the boot because they sucked in the rain. Their snow performance didn't exactly impress me either. It rains a lot here
and the snow gets really slushy. Joined Feb 8, 2016 · 688 Posts
I lost patience with mine at 20k, they weren’t worn out, but were abysmal in snow, and at best mediocre in all other conditions. Pretty loud on road by 20k mi. Both the General grabber arctic lt and Nokia’s rotiiva At plus I’ve replaced them with since are superior in every aspect. Even the general snow tire grabbers were quieter on

quieter on road. We should probably note that the OEM Wrangler Kevlars are just that, OEM specific. The aftermarket version could be much better and last longer. This is usually the case when the vehicle manufacturer orders a special compound for the OEM version of a tire model. That's why I never trust anyone's opinion on a tire if it is the OEM version. I.e. you usually hear "I had XX tire that came on my XX vehicle and it sucked!". Take that with a grain of salt
because it probably doesn't apply to the aftermarket version of the tire. Joined

One of the big disappointments on my Colorado is that it came with Goodyears. In 40 years of trucking, I have never bought a Goodyear tire that I didn't regret, either immediately (out of round) or eventually. Maybe when it comes time for replacement (years down the road, since I'm easy on tires), I can find some sort of Bridgestones, my personal
favorite. Joined

That said, if was dropping corn on GY’s, I’d get better ones than those. Manufacturers don’t put good tires on vehicles until a very high price point. Joined Jan 13, 2016 · 4,319 Posts

Bridgestones, my personal favorite. There are many goodyears that are very good tires, Ive had several that were better than expectations. All mfrs make both crap and gold, Bridgestone included, the craptastical re92 comes to mind, as well as many of the dueler line. Hard when you have to wade through millions of models and reviews written by idiots who wouldn’t know a good or bad tire if it was up their butts kicking footballs. Joined Oct 2, 2017 · 63 Posts
I just crossed 55k in my CCSB. Since weather isn’t too bad this time of year, I’ll let them ride a bit longer. But if we were heading in to winter, I’d probably be shopping for tires very soon. I don’t have a depth gauge to read off X/32 but to the point confidence in any kind of challenging conditions would be low. Pretty vague, but there you go. Joined Feb 15, 2019 · 43 Posts
mine are looking good at 31k. But they slide so bad in the rain, I am replacing them this week. 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison Joined Jun 2, 2017 · 1,281 Posts

Over 20,000 miles here and they suck in snow. They still have good tread life left but I will switch them this year. I have always been happy with Firestone Destination ATs. I know people don't like Firestone, but these tires are great.

Mine were the aftermarket version and were purchased from a Goodyear dealer... Good data! Consensus is all versions basically suck. :grin2: Joined Aug 12, 2017 · 717 Posts
I had Goodyears on cars and trucks and generally the ones on the cars have been fine. I have never been overly happy with Goodyears on a truck, but these Wranglers on the Colorado are the first time I will say that the tire sucks. The wet traction is beyond terrible and they are going away this summer and being replaced with some Michelin's. How long do Goodyear tires usually last? Most tires last until the tread wears out under proper maintenance and service after 3 to 4 years of typical usage. This is for normal wear-out under typical service conditions.
Are Goodyear Wrangler tires good? The Goodyear Wrangler is easily one of the best-known families of tires from one of the world's most recognizable brands. For decades, Wrangler has been known as a tough, reliable tire that works well on and off-road. From their initial release in 1977, Goodyear Wrangler tires were designed for trucks and early SUVs.
When should Goodyear tires be replaced?Tire Tread Wear Indicator
You can also check the tread wear indicator. You can find the tread wear indicator less than an inch (2/32 of an inch) from the bottom of the tread groove. When the tread wears down to become even with this level, the tire should be replaced.
How many miles do Goodyear run flat tires last?RunOnFlat technology enable the vehicle to keep on running after a puncture or sudden air loss. Even when the tyre loses pressure, the tyre can continue to safely support the vehicle for at least 50 miles at up to 50mph.
