Roku TV doesn’t let me to see captions/subtitles on several Paramount Plus shows. It’s very frustrating. It looks like Paramount Plus hasn’t set up the captions function for many of its shows. I’m going to cancel my subscription.

Manage Subtitles & CC on Paramount Plus using Smart TVs
Subtitles and Closed Captions are supported on most smart TV’s. On your smart TV, launch Paramount Plus. Left click to show the menu on the left side of the screen. Navigate to the Settings menu at the bottom of the menu and select “Closed Captions” to configure the appearance of the captions as you desire. Start watching your selected movie or TV show and notice that initially a small shadowed out scroll-like icon appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Click the UP button to highlight that icon then ENTER. Initially a blue check mark is next to “Subtitles Off.” Press the DOWN button to move the check mark to “English (United States)” then ENTER to turn on Closed Captions. Apparently, you must turn on Closed Captions each time you turn on Paramount +.

Very few of the actors on 1883 articulate their lines We enabled captions but don’t know how to change the text size nor color of text or background. Can’t find articles on line to accomplish readable captions. Please ask Taylor Sheridan to fix this problem. Thank you

There is a message that comes up when trying to turn on cc on my Sony TV that says use your tv remote for cc for live TV?????

Their is no accessibility just guidance to determine what your closed caption should look like with that stupid message at the top. Call support and they never answer the phone. Off to a bad start paramount plus. Will cancel the free trial and subscription unless this is made user friendly.
