The Cowboys recently snapped a six-game losing streak to the Sooners with a 37-33 win last season. Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy is 3-14 in his career against Oklahoma, while Brent Venables is in his first Bedlam matchup as head coach of the Sooners.

Storyline: Can Oklahoma State make it back-to-back Bedlam wins for the first time since the early 2000s? Victories have been hard to come by in the rivalry series for the Cowboys, but Saturday provides an opportunity to take another game away from Oklahoma as Bedlam nears an end with the Sooners heading to the SEC in 2025.

Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders will likely make his first start in three weeks after taking some time off to recover from a shoulder injury. Sanders stepped in during the second half of last week's game against Iowa State to help the Cowboys to a 20-14 win.

Sanders is certainly a difference-maker for Oklahoma State with a 30-10 career record as a starter.

A win on Saturday over Oklahoma would make him the first starting quarterback for the Cowboys with two career victories in Bedlam since Josh Fields (2001-02).

With two games remaining in the regular season, Oklahoma is still one win away from securing bowl eligibility in Brent Venables' first year as head coach. The Sooners started off well with three blowout victories in non-conference play, but are just 2-5 against Big 12 opponents.

If Oklahoma State wins in Norman on Saturday, that would mean Oklahoma would need to win its regular season finale on the road at Texas Tech, which is also one win shy of bowl eligibility.

The Sooners own the second-longest active bowl streak in the nation with appearances in 22 straight seasons.
