What is the weather going to be like next weekend

With your Google Nest or Home speaker or display, you can listen to the current weather and upcoming forecast for your location using only your voice.

Step 1. Manage your weather settings

You must set the following location and weather preferences in the Google Home app

1. Set your device address.
2. Set your preferred weather unit.

Step 2. Ask for weather information 

Here are some ways to talk with your Google Assistant on your speaker or display about weather and forecasts:

"What’s the weather?"

Note: This command will provide weather information for your device home address.

• Next xx days (choose up to 10 days)

"What’s the weather tomorrow, specific day, weekend, for the next 4 days?"
"What will the weather be like between <day> and <day>?"

Note: This command will provide weather information for your device home address.

"Is it going to rain tomorrow?"
"Is it sunny today?"
"Will I need an umbrella tomorrow?"

Note: This command will provide weather information for your device home address.

Ask specific question about weather or forecast in a certain location for:

• Tomorrow
• Specific day
• Weekend
• Week
• Next xx days (choose between 1-10 days)

"Will it rain tomorrow in London?"
"What's the weather this weekend in Mountain View?"

Important: Be specific with your query to get the correct weather information.

• “Hey Google, how is the weather?" Your speaker or display will provide weather information from your device address.
• “Hey Google, what is the weather in Mountain View?” Speaker or display will provide weather information from the location you specified.

(Optional) Get weather forecasts for your places of interest

If you’d like to receive weather forecasts for places of interest outside of your device address, set up Voice Match and personal results. You’ll get updates for meaningful changes in the weather like forecast swings for high winds, rain, or snow at places you may be interested in visiting in the next few hours.

The 7 day forecasts have recently been upgraded and are now updated up to 12 times a day. They use a blend of the Met Office UKV model along with our in house NetWx-SR and NetWx-MR models. This ensures the most acccurate forecasts possible. Hourly forecasts are available for the first 48 hours of the forecast, with three hourly forecasts after that.

Confidence is unusually low for this whole period. The most probable scenario has cold conditions affecting northern areas and pushing south into milder air at times, however there is significant uncertainty in the location and movement of the boundary between the regimes. Any milder conditions are likely to be accompanied by wetter weather. Periods of rain are likely to run west-to-east across the country, bringing a threat of snow where they meet the colder air. Temperatures likely to be cold in the north and milder further south in general, however a downward trend is likely across all areas with average to below average temperatures for the country as a whole most likely for this period overall.

A forecast of thundery showers indicates an imminent risk of lightning. Lightning typically strikes within 6km radius of a location, but is known to strike more than 10km away from the thunderstorm cloud.
