Flasher Relay location -- 95 Cherokee Show Does anyone know the flasher/turn signal relay location in a 1995 cherokee se? I'm getting conflicting information. I found a schematic that places it in the fusebox, but my fusebox looks nothing like the schematic. I'm also reading that it's behind the panel below the steering column, and that it's behind the glove box. Additionally, auto zone pictures it as a round object, and advance auto parts pictures as square. Thanks in advance for your assistance.... turn signal relay03-06-2011, 11:51 PMMember Thread Starter

My left side turn signals are flashing to fast (right signals are fine). Checked the bulbs and cleaned up the connections. The grounds are ok as far as i can tell, so I reckon the relay might be on its way out... if anyone can point me in its direction it would be much appreciated!. 03-07-2011, 01:02 AMJunior Member

Heres some pics of the part number, etc. 03-28-2011, 07:32 AMCF Veteran

I'm really glad I did the fix myself! The only problem I ran into was the fact that there was some sort of tape with foam on it around the connection between the relay and the female part of the plug. I was wondering if there was a purpose behind having the foam tape around the connection besides to keep the relay in place? 11-03-2014, 11:29 AMNewbie

Never would have thought the 4 way flasher was independent of turn signal flash. $50 switch $19 flasher. Its the sons Jeep and my money and time. Oh well keep on moving forward. Maybe I'll get a thanks Dad! The following users liked this post: 11-10-2014, 12:59 PMSeasoned Member

Mine has similar symptoms but it's on my passenger side. When I turn on the hazard lights, they blink at the normal rate though. Does that still sound like the turn signal relay? 12-08-2014, 08:21 AMSeasoned Member

I guess I have to chase down a wiring or ground issue... Where is the turn signal relay on a 96 Jeep Cherokee?Turn signal relay is behind the panel under your steering wheel. The relay is located below your headlight switch.
Where is the flasher relay located? In most cars, the relay is in a junction box along with other relays. Some vehicle manufacturers label the relay on the fuse box cover to make it easier to identify. Some vehicle manufacturers label the relay on the fuse box cover to make it easier to identify.
How do I know if my turn signal flasher is bad?The most common symptom of a bad or failing turn signal / hazard flasher is hazards or turn signal lights that do not function. If the flasher breaks or has any internal issues it can cause the lights to malfunction, or not respond at all when the turn signal lever or hazard light button are pressed.
