New Aftermarket Starter For Models Show CROSS REFERENCE : 5.0 out of 5 stars Good price Seems to work great. Only complaint is one heat shield bolt hole is in the wrong location. Not a big problem though. You can pop a new hole in the shield with a screw driver and it’ll work. Figured it was a starter or weak battery. Starter it was. This replacement works wonderfully and starts the big V8 up with ease. Can't beat the price. One small issue, the area for a second bolt on the heat shield was missing, presumed chipped off. Doesn't affect the usability in any way however. Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2021 Buying it here saved me so much money and it works really good. I didn't have issues installing it but like most reviews state the heat shield holes don't align with the holes in the new starter. I had to make a hole on the heat shield but that was not a problem at all. So far I'm happy with my purchase and the money that it saved me. Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2021 Perfect fitment, cranks good. However 1 of the 2 heat shield bolts holes wasn't drilled/ tapped on this starter. 1 I'd holding the heat sheild fine. That's why I gave 4 not 5 stars. 2014 ram 1500 sport. 4.0 out of 5 stars Works perfect, but... Perfect fitment, cranks good. Images in this review Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2021 Always check that the start solenoid wire "yellow" spade connection at the starter is not corroded and a bad connection. This starter worked great. Thank you Amazon for having the part. Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2022 Would not buy again or recommend installed on my car starter drive stays engaged when you start it need to be shut it off and start it again or rev the engine for it to disengage heat shield which I knew does not have the proper bolt holes for the heat shield and is not as simple as poking a new hole and bolting it up hard to reach when you punch a hole through the heat shield Top reviews from other countries5.0 out of 5 stars Fits perfect and works well Reviewed in Canada on April 10, 2020 Replaced failing starter on my 2010 Ram 5.7 hemi. Everything fit as expected and my truck is staring like new again. As with other reviews one thing that was different is the position of one of the bolt holes for the small heat shield, but this is minor. The shape of the shield bends around to flush upto the new hole position and the thin aluminum heat shield can be punched through with a screwdriver. It’s not a big deal and I wouldn’t let that discourage anyone from purchasing this item. 4.0 out of 5 stars 3 out of 4 ain't bad Reviewed in Canada on February 2, 2020 Pros: Cons: not all bolts line up. For a third of the price as the local auto part store, 3 out of 4 current bolt holes ain't bad. Hopefully they'll correct their casting in the future. 4.0 out of 5 stars 3 out of 4 ain't bad Pros: Cons: not all bolts line up. As mentioned by others you have to add a small hole in the heat shield to line up the mounting holes but no issues at all. 2.0 out of 5 stars It is a good fit Reviewed in Canada on January 12, 2022 Over all it was a good fit and does the job. The down side is .... and it is a big downside, the solenoid mounting casting is not drilled to accept a bolt to properly hold the heat shield. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reviewed in Canada on September 25, 2020 Took a whole half hour to replace and that's with having to modify the heat shield. Just needed to drill one 1/4" hole on top to put the second screw and everything worked fine.
