The main difference in the design seems to be the water resistance, as the iPhone 11 can survive up to two metres underwater as opposed to one metre for the iPhone XR. ProcessorBoth iPhones use Apple's own processors - the iPhone XR uses the A12 Bionic Chip, whereas the iPhone 11 uses the A13 chipset. Unsurprisingly, the A13 Bionic Chip is the faster of the two, offering not only a 20 per cent increase in performance but also greater power efficiency - benefitting battery life as well. Screen SizeThe iPhone XR and iPhone 11 are handily both 6.1 inches, so you can get a decent screen size either way. Should I buy the iPhone XR or the iPhone 11?The differences between the two are relatively small - unless you're a keen photographer or an avid memory hoarder, there's few must-have features on the iPhone 11. While the iPhone 11 would be a great purchase if you could get a good contract phone deal, it's up to personal opinion whether more camera lenses and a slightly speedier processor justifies a £100 price increase. The iPhone 11 features Apple's newest A13 Bionic processor, while the iPhone XR has 2018's A12 chipset. For the most part, the iPhone 11 and XR both run iOS 13 as smooth and fast as the other.
Will an iPhone 11 case fit an iPhone XR?Although both phone models are the same size, the camera adjustments on the back of the iPhone 11 means that iPhone XR cases are not compatible with the iPhone 11. If you do try and put an iPhone XR case on the iPhone 11, you'll end up covering the camera flash. So, in reality they do fit the same cases.
Are iPhone XR & 11 the same size?The iPhone 11 and iPhone XR are the exact same size (5.94" x 2.98" x 0.33"). But due to differences in their rear cameras, the same cases won't work on the 11 and XR. Which is better iPhone XR or iPhone 11?The iPhone XR offers a perfectly decent 12MP wide camera, but the iPhone 11 adds a second lens for Ultra Wide shots. It also adds "Night Mode" for taking pictures in low-light scenarios, as well as a brighter true-tone flash. The iPhone 11 has a 12MP camera on the front, too, while the iPhone XR only offers 7MP.
