So by now you’ve probably heard of Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Lemonade. The thought of combining their freshly made lemonade with ice cream is making your taste buds tickle with delight. But you’re wondering should I get the Regular Frosted Lemonade or should I get the Diet Frosted Lemonade ? Why do choices have to complicate everything? Well we decided to help out Chick-fil-A fans everywhere by taste testing both! I know, what a hard job to do. But because we’re die-hard Chick-fil-A fans, we couldn’t resist. We purchased one Frosted Lemonade and one Diet Frosted Lemonade in addition to some other delicious menu items. Background: Frosted Lemonade is made with Icedream ,water, freshly-squeezed lemon juice and sugar. One serving rounds out to 330 calories. The Diet Frosted Lemonade is made with Icedream, water, freshly-squeezed lemon juice and Splenda sweetener. This diet treat is 240 calories per serving. The Taste: Both Regular and Diet Frosted Lemonade had a great light milk shake texture. åÊIt was thin enough to easily drink from a straw but thick enough that if you wanted to use a spoon the Frosted Lemondae would stick to it. The lemon flavors were apparent on both treats. However, one had a slight edge on the lemony flavor without being over-masked by the icedream. One seemed to be slightly thicker in texture than the other one. The Decision: Our Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade taste testing results was in favor of the Diet Frosted Lemonade! We appreciated that we could really taste the lemonade flavor compared to the regular Frosted Lemonade. And it works out to be a savings of 90 calories and about 90 less push ups to burn off. The Regular Frosted Lemonade had more of a vanilla flavor with a hint of lemon, but the texture seemed slightly thicker which we liked.
