Q: Is 2022 4Runner a good buy?

While the 2022 model may lack any dramatic changes and its still underpowered when compared to others in its class, its looks and tough-guy-no-nonsense flavor makes it a great driving car as well as a capable off-roader, and its weeks test was everything one hoped it would be.

Basically it’s the cheapest way to get the TRD pro look. It’s a bunch of parts that are cheaper when you get them in the “package” vs buying OEM or after market parts piece meal. It adds the predator step bar, black emblem overlays, black XP badging, black exhaust tip, heritage grille vs the Toyota symbol, All Terrain tires and TRD wheels I think. I also added red break calipers, cross bars, and the TRD skid plate, and I’ve got some raptor lights I’m going to add to the front. Eventually I’m going to do some other things like add new lights, a Gobi roof rack, lift it, etc.

I was considering the TRD Off Road Premium or TRD Pro but I really wanted beige seats and I’m likely not going to be doing any intense off roading. It also takes like 6 months to a year right now where I’m at to get a new 2022 TRD. I lucked out and ended up getting this in 19 days since it was allocated to them, already on the way, and unsold when I went to talk to the dealership.
